Abstract:TBM construction often encounters complex geological environment. In order to minimize the impact of geological disasters, it is particularly important to advance the geological conditions in front of tunnel excavation. For a diversion tunnel project in Xinjiang, the basic principles and characteristics of seismic wave method and excitation polarization method are introduced. These two methods are also applied to the advance detection of the fault fracture zone in the front of the TBM construction tunnel and the development of groundwater. The results show the feasibility and practicability of seismic wave advance detection technology and excitation polarization advance detection technology in TBM construction tunnel, for the safe and rapid tunneling of TBM in similar projects, and provide some reference for the use prospect.
