Abstract:Due to the advantages of simple manufacturing, high stability and low price, battened column is widely used in engineering steel structures. How to accurately simulate the connection between the reinforcement plate and the column is an important issue in the finite element simulation of engineering structures. In this paper, the finite element software ANSYS is used to study the simulation method of the connection between the batten plate and the column in the battened column of C-shaped steel column. The simulation principle of the node coupling connection method is analyzed and the precautions for use are proposed by comparing the simulation effect of modeling the unit as a whole and modeling of node-coupled connection. It is concluded that the effect of modeling as the fine, but it is not convenient for model modification and refined simulation. The node-coupled connection is easy to modify, but the coupling method and connection area need to be considered. The simplifying unified coupling method proposed in this paper has good simulation effect and strong adaptability, which has a certain guiding significance for the finite element simulation work in engineering practice.
