Abstract:Titanium is an important strategic rare metal resource. China has abundant titanium resources, mainly in the form of ilmenite. However, with the continuous exploitation of resources with high endowments, the ore gradually presents the characteristics of low grade and multiple gangue minerals, which leads to the difficulty of comprehensive recovery. The flotation recovery process of the tailings of a low-grade refractory ilmenite ore after work magnetic separation is studied. In the process of flotation, the sulfuric acid is used as the pH regulator for the slurry, the water glass is used as dispersant; the lead nitrate is applied as activator and MOH is used as collector. The closed circuit process consists of one roughing, three refining and two scavenging can obtain titanium concentrate with TiO2 grade of 46.12%, TFe content of 33.03%, titanium recovery rate of 57.05%. The beneficiation index is good and the purity of the titanium concentrate is high, realizing the efficient recovery and utilization of the refractory ilmenite resources.
