Abstract:In order to study the seismic performance of strengthened with reinforced epoxy mortar one-sided reinforced masonry walls strengthened with, a low circumferential reciprocation tests is conducted on two masonry walls with a height of 1,200 mm, a width of 1,600 mm, and a thickness of 240 mm. The test results show that: 1) the strengthening method is practicable, and the damage pattern of the strengthened reinforced wall is changed from brittle to ductile; 2) the strengthening can reduce the crack expansion rate and crack width; 3) it can significantly improve the wall bearing capacity and deformation capacity, the peak load is increased by about 91.5%, the cracking load is increased by about 20.4%, and the cracking displacement of the wall is improved by 20.0%; 4) the strengthened walls have more full and excellent hysteretic curve. The hysteresis curve of the strengthened wall is more full and excellent, the recoverable deformation is increased and the residual deformation is smaller. The results of this paper can provide certain reference for the masonry wall reinforcement project.
