Abstract:At present, the high-grade iron concentrate obtained by mineral processing in China often contains impurities such as titanium, which affects its sales and economic benefits. It is of great significance to study the problem of titanium reduction in iron concentrate extraction to solve the self-sufficiency of iron ore in China. In this study, the ilmenite concentrate of a concentrator is taken as the research object, and the process mineralogy analysis and flotation titanium reduction test are carried out. The results showed that for the iron concentrate with TiO? content of 4.96% and TFe grade of 65.75%, the iron concentrate with yield of 72.79%, TFe grade of 68.98%, recovery of 76.37% and TiO? grade of 1.54% could be obtained by using the closed-circuit flotation process of one roughing, two scavenging and two cleaning and the reagent system of CT - T09 inhibitor + CT - T06 collector. The scientific and reasonable process flow and operation parameters are formed, which provide a basis for the reduction of titanium in this type of iron concentrate.
