Abstract:In order to explore the implementation effect of different ultra-thin coverings in the highway maintenance project in Ningxia area. Based on the maintenance project of G110 line Ningxia highway, the raw materials and technical performance, mix ratio design, implementation effect observation of two dense asphalt concrete ultra-thin illumination surface structure (UTAC-10, AC-13C) are compared and analyzed. Through the Marshall test and water penetration coefficient test, the optimal mix ratio of the mixture under different RAP(recycled asphalt mix) dosage was determined, and its mechanical properties and water penetration resistance were systematically evaluated. The results show that: after the implementation of the two kinds of ultra-thin cover, through the test data and on-site inspection, the raw material of AC-13C ultra-thin cover meets the specification requirements in terms of stability, flow value, void ratio and saturation, and exhibits excellent high temperature stability, compactness and suitable flexibility. At the same time, the dense graded mix has a low water seepage coefficient, which is suitable for the pavement structural layer with high waterproofing requirements.
