Abstract:In order to effectively solve the problems of structural disturbance and settlement control in the existing stations during the construction of closely under-crossing the existing station, the construction technology based on a dual pre-support system is systematically studied to focus on analyzing the implementation approach and mechanism of adding jacks and screw rods in the initial support to form the dual pre-support system. Results indicate that, compared with traditional concealed excavation techniques, the PBA construction technology based on the dual pre-support system can significantly reduce disturbance impacts on the existing station, effectively control settlement deformation, and provide crucial assurance for safety and constructability throughout the construction process. In the meantime, through the application of the dual pre-support system, this technology can further improve the overall stability of the concealed excavation structures. The findings of this paper can provide references and guidance for a similar complex engineering practices.
