Abstract:To ensure the structural safety of a prestressed concrete continuous bridge after its opening to traffic, static load tests were conducted on the bridge upon its completion. Structural analysis was performed using MIDAS Civil 2020 under City-A level loads, through six different static loading conditions, including symmetrical loading and eccentric loading (right-side), the deflection and strain performance indicators of each control section were analyzed. The results indicate that under City-A level static loads, the bridge remains in an elastic working state. The deflection and strain at the main measuring points of the control sections increase with the applied load and exhibit an approximately linear variation. Eccentric loading has a significant effect on bridge deflection, with a maximum deflection increase of 26.15%. Under right-side eccentric loading, the strain in the left web increases by up to 37.10%, indicating that eccentric loading significantly influences the strain response of the left web.
