Abstract:To systematically clarify the development patterns and evolutionary trajectory of suburban integrated rural residence, Changsha's suburban integrated rural residences are focused on. Through multidimensional diachronic analysis of 13 sample houses in 5 typical villages, including space, form and construction, the spatial reconstruction and technological transformation patterns of residential architecture during urbanization is explored. Research shows that residential evolution shows four stages; spatial structure gradually transforms into urban residential units, the core role of halls weakens, architectural forms shift from single to diversified development, building technology continues to iterate, and spatial paradigms gradually dissolve. However, the regional construction gene of "main house + side house" has always maintained continuity, becoming the core carrier that maintains rural regional characteristics and cultural context, and still holds important inheritance value.
